HELLO FROM MY NEW SPACE.
I think I promised you this wouldn't be a newsletter. Well quite a few things have happened around here lately, so a bit of motion is coming up after all.
Like moving to a new apartment and getting a room to paint in. The luxury. I can't even describe how good this space makes me feel.
I watched this reel with an artist the other day, and he said:
“The satisfactions of painting are so great it seems like it must be some kind of illegal activity. I mean, it seems like too good to be true. Something can't be that good in this world.”
MIRROR, MIRROR
I’ve started painting on mirrors. What began as an experiment has now become a new series: Colour Mirrors.
Painted compositions that play with what's reflected.
No. 01 is finished. Four lines of colour:
Saltwater glass
Orange without pop
Denim before wash
Bubblegum pink
COLOUR RECORD
My experiments have also led me to painting on leftover plywood boards. This one is Colour Record no. 01. A record of colours used in the studio, painted in lines over time.
Day one: vertical.
Day two: horizontal.
This one started 20/09/2026.
I don’t know when it ends.
MORE COLOUR THINGS
Colour Circles, Paint Pots, packaging and a webshop are also in the works.
The webshop was almost ready to launch this weekend. Almost.
Then I hit a roadblock with Squarespace.
Now I'm considering moving the whole thing to Shopify.
Or finding another way.
Do I need a webshop?
Painting some more while deciding.
