PRIVACY POLICY

THE SHORT VERSION
I only collect the information I need to handle your order, get it to you and do the necessary paperwork.

I don’t sell your information, and placing an order does not sign you up for marketing.

WHO’S RESPONSIBLE?
POP X STUDIO by Puk Sjeldan is responsible for the personal information described here.

If you have any questions about your information, write me at puk@popxstudio.dk.

WHEN YOU PLACE AN ORDER
When you place an order, I receive things like your name, email address, billing and delivery details, phone number and what you bought.

I use it to handle your order, arrange shipping or pickup where relevant, get in touch if needed and keep the records I’m required to keep.

I process this information because it’s needed to fulfil your order and to meet legal requirements such as bookkeeping.

RETURNS & WITHDRAWALS
If you use the withdrawal form, I receive your name, email address, order number and the information you provide about what you’re returning.

I use it to handle your withdrawal or return and to meet my obligations under consumer law.

GIFT CARDS
If you send a gift card to someone else, I receive the recipient’s name and email address from you, together with any message you add.

I only use that information to deliver and manage the gift card.

BEHIND THE SCENES
POP X STUDIO is a one-woman band, but a few services are involved.

Squarespace runs the website, shop and checkout. Stripe handles payments. e-conomic helps with accounting. Google is used for the internal work register. Mailchimp handles The Occasional Letter. And if an order is being shipped, the shipping company gets the details it needs to deliver it.

These services only receive the information needed for the job they do.

Some of these companies operate internationally and may process information outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, the transfer must be covered by the safeguards required under data protection law.

THE WORK REGISTER
I like to remember who collected a work.

So I keep a small internal register of collected works in a Google Sheet. It only includes the collector’s name and city/country – no address, phone number or payment details.

I keep this as part of the history of the work. The basis for doing so is my legitimate interest in maintaining the POP X STUDIO work archive.

THE OCCASIONAL LETTER
Buying something does not automatically put you on a mailing list.

If you choose to sign up for The Occasional Letter, your email address is stored with Mailchimp and used to send you the letter. This is based on your consent.

You can unsubscribe whenever you like.

HOW LONG I KEEP THINGS
Order and accounting information is kept for as long as I’m required to keep it under Danish bookkeeping rules. Accounting material generally has to be kept for 5 years from the end of the financial year it relates to.

I keep the name and city/country in the work register as part of the history of the work.

The Occasional Letter information is kept until you unsubscribe.

Other information is deleted when I no longer need it for the reason it was collected.

YOUR INFORMATION
You have rights over your personal information. Depending on the situation, that can include the right to see what I have about you, have something corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it’s used, or receive your information in a portable format.

If you want to use any of those rights, just write me at puk@popxstudio.dk.

If you signed up for The Occasional Letter, you can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing.

If you’re unhappy with how your personal information is being handled, you can also complain to Datatilsynet. datatilsynet.dk
