Balance
Realised I don't thrive when I only do what I love.
My hyperfocus turns on. I get so completely absorbed in what I'm making that a day flies by in an hour.
And when I snap out of it, everything else has piled up.
I have forgotten to eat.
Skipped my morning walks.
Two-minute to-dos keep getting pushed aside.
My laundry basket has become my wardrobe.
I forget to text my friends back.
The little things that make me feel good and balanced disappear.
Note to self:
The ordinary everyday things aren't inconvenient distractions from what I love doing. They're what give me the energy to do it.
